The lung exhibits unique architectures composed of a thin layer of capillary endothelial cells for efficient gas exchange. However, neither a unique lung-specific endothelium gene nor a lung-specific endothelial Creline has been identified in the literature. In the current study, we demonstrate that Tmem100 is a lung-specific endotheliumgene using single-cell RNA sequencing analysis and lineage tracing approaches.
